    A Radical Rethink by Unilever

Did you know that Unilever is creating the world’s first paper-based laundry detergent bottle?

It is planning to debut the bottles in Brazil by early 2022 for its OMO brand and is also piloting the technology to create paper-based haircare bottles. They are using new technology to create the first-ever paper-based laundry detergent bottle that is made of sustainably sourced pulp and is designed to be recycled in standard paper waste streams.
The ability to package liquid products in paper-based bottles will be a huge achievement, but before they hit the shelves, their packaging scientists will run a range of tests to see how they perform in real-life situations from transportation to storage in damp environments. They must fulfill the requirements in terms of durability, user experience, and reduction of environmental impact.
A great initiative by Unilever to reduce plastic consumption and making the world a better place to live.
