Louis Vuitton, one of the most valuable luxury brands in the world, has released a smartphone game. That’s remarkable, isn’t it? Consider a game with quests that capture the essence of this French fashion house’s history. As a fashion enthusiast, I believe it’s fantastic.
The game is a first-person adventure quest entitled ‘Louis: The Game.‘ The main character is Vivienne, the luxury brand’s emblem, a wooden doll that goes on a journey through the company’s history. According to speculations, the game will include embedded NFTs (Non-fungible tokens).
During the first six months of 2021, the excitement surrounding NFTs generated $2.5 billion in sales volume. Although it is unclear whether Louis Vuitton’s NFTs will be lucrative or not, they may attract the interest of digitally aware and younger buyers.
The French fashion house is no stranger to blockchain or cryptocurrency. It has been authenticating its items with digital certificates. Each certificate details the raw materials used in a product and where it was created and finally purchased.
The game will be available for Android and iOS on August 4th. Users will be able to earn collectible goods in the form of NFTs as Vivienne goes through the game by completing several objectives – each of which reveals a different aspect of the brand’s history.
It seems that this game is going to be loved. It has embedded NFTs which makes it more interesting. The world of fashion and gaming seems to be colliding with these fashion games.
